At various stages, Aowyne has been: on the board of directors of an anti-mining company, a music journalist, glorified jukebox (she refuses to use the term ‘DJ’), radio presenter, paleontological excavator, museum tour guide, and backstage manager for a live theatre show.
Too rock & roll for science, and too nerdy for the hipsters (phew), she is currently studying anthropology and cultural studies and plans to one day wed Stephen Fry, whether he likes it or not.
She likes dashing strangers, anti-heroes, rakehells, tweed breeches, swearing like the bastard son of a sailor and a 19th century British Colonel, Eco, Vonnegut, and a good cup of tea. She dislikes taking anything too seriously, the cult of celebrity, how rapidly her morning coffee disappears, the lack of teleportation as a viable means of transport, and writing about herself.
